What is a Gaussian splat?
A Gaussian splat is a 3D capture made of many small, soft points that blend together into a realistic view of a place. Splats are usually saved as .splat files, or as .ply files that hold splats instead of a plain point cloud.
Measuring on splats is not available yet. To measure, open a point cloud (LAS, LAZ or PLY), an IFC model or a GLB mesh in the same viewer.
How it works
- Go to 3dviewer.spatialsense.app. There is no sign-up screen.
- Drag and drop your .splat or splat .ply file into the window.
- Move around the splat to look at the site.
