A variation order is how a contract changes. The fight is rarely about the form. It is about what the site looked like before the change, and what it looks like now. Phone photos from different corners do not settle that.
Change order construction
Change order construction is the US name for the same evidence as a variation order: two dated views of one spot. UK, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong contracts usually say variation order. SpatialSense holds those two walks. A person still writes the variation and sends it.
Interim payment, progress claim, and IPC
Progress claim construction is the dated walk attached to that period’s payment. An interim payment application or an IPC asks to be paid for work done. In Saudi Arabia teams often call that application a mustakhlas (مستخلص). SpatialSense does not raise the certificate and it does not approve the percent. It holds the dated walk you attach, so the claim shows the floor, not a folder of loose photos.
Attach the same walks to the construction progress report for that week. The report is the pack. The variation is the change. They should point at the same dates.
Two walks are the backup
Walk before the varied work, and walk after it. Open both dates on the same viewpoint. Measure on the point cloud if the quantity is in dispute. A person still writes the variation and sends it. The walk is the evidence underneath.
