What you get

A simple 360° walkthrough, made from your file

360° stops along the path you walked, in order, ready to step through and share. It is deliberately simple.

  • Forward and back along your path, with “stop X of Y”
  • Look around in 360° at every stop, or jump ahead from a strip of thumbnails
  • Blurry, dark and repeated frames are dropped, so standing still does not repeat the view

Need floor plans, issues or comparing dates? Those stay in SpatialSense. Planned: move a walk into a SpatialSense project without uploading it again.

Preview in the full SpatialSense viewer, live today. The Walkthrough will be simpler, with no floor plan or issues.
How it will work

Friday’s walk, on the PM’s phone by Saturday

  1. Friday, 4 pmThe site engineer walks Level 3 with an Insta360 on their helmet, as they do every week.
  2. Friday, 6 pmIn the site office, they drop the Insta360 files on the upload page and close the laptop once it says “Upload complete”.
  3. SaturdayAn email says the walkthrough is ready. They step through it, then send the link to the PM on WhatsApp.
  4. Same dayThe PM opens it on a phone with no login and looks around the east stair before Monday’s meeting.

Questions people ask

Can I use it now?

Not yet. It is coming soon, and we are testing it with a small group of site teams first. Book a demo to join the early list. Trace and SpatialSense, which put 360° walks on your floor plan, are live today.

Which files and cameras will it take?

It is being built for Insta360 footage: the raw .insv files from the camera, or a 360° MP4 exported from Insta360 Studio. The exact camera models, and the file size and length limits, are still being confirmed. Ordinary (non-360°) video will not work.

How long will it take?

The plan is a walkthrough ready within 24 hours of your upload finishing. We email you when it is ready.

Will the walk be on my floor plan?

No. The simple walkthrough follows the path you walked, without a floor plan, issues or comparison. For those, move the walk into SpatialSense, or capture with Trace, which pins every walk to your floor plan as you go.

How is this different from Trace?

Trace is the app you use while you capture. It connects to an Insta360 X4 or X5 and pins the walk to your floor plan. This is for footage you already have: upload it afterwards and get a simple walkthrough to share. If you walk the same site every week, Trace is the better fit.

Who will see my walkthrough?

Anyone with the link can view it, no login. It is view only, and you will be able to switch it off.

Is it free?

Yes. A free account lets you process up to 30 minutes of 360° video. Need more? Ask us for a bigger quota and we will extend it.

Can I upload 360° photos today?

Yes, in the full SpatialSense platform. Upload 360° images as JPG, PNG or ZIP, with pose metadata, or capture walks with Trace and an Insta360 X4 or X5.
